Finally: Reflect. This experience requires you to do a little 'targeted networking.' How will this experience shape how you participate in any future networking events? Did this experience differ from your networking experiences in the past? How?
I have not networked with such strict parameters before so this definitely set a challenge, thankfully my family has a lot of connections and friends in our mother country.I will not be participate in any future networking events hopefully, reaching out to people is extremely uncomfortable.
I am glad you were able to find the people that fit your categories and that you were able to speak to them. I only wish you included the conversation you had with them and any feedback they gave you about your product. Their experience and reputation could really be of help for someone like you who has an idea that is just getting started. It's awesome that your family has such great connections and were able to help you out. I can see how reaching out would be uncomfortable so I hope you are able to try something like this again in the future and hopefully become more comfortable.
